Entertainment UK and Asda agree major music and DVD distribution contract

Entertainment UK (EUK) has announced today that reached an agreement in principle to supply supermarket chain ASDA with all of its music and approximately 20 per cent of its DVD products from September 2007. This follows the recent announcement which confirmed EUK will be supplying ASDA with all of its games software from August 2007.
Under the proposed agreement which will last for a term of no less than two years, EUK, the UK’s leading wholesale distributor of home entertainment products, will supply all 320 of ASDA stores in the UK with its entire music product range. In addition, EUK will also be supplying ASDA’s DVD portfolio, excluding titles from the major studios.
ASDA attracts more than 12.5 million households each week and is committed to home entertainment products as a key category.
